Indiana University Bicentennial
Indiana University was founded on January 20, 1820, making it one of the oldest public universities in the nation. To celebrate its Bicentennial, IU has developed a multi-year, multi-campus program that will recognize and chronicle IU history, showcase the university’s significant contributions to the world, and set a course for the next century. MoneySmarts U
MoneySmarts U is a platform for students to learn about money at every stage of their college careers. From pre-college to considering graduate school, the MoneySmarts U platform lets students choose the course that best suits their stage in school. Each course includes high energy videos that cut through the noise students are inundated with. These courses teach students how to sort through credit card offers, plan for living expenses, decide what to do with work income, and figure out how to prepare for their financial futures. These courses are not primarily about financial literacy though. A great financial life doesn’t start with definitions, it starts with behavior change. Through videos, calculators, charts, infographics, and assessments, the MoneySmarts U platform grabs students' attention, puts them on a healthy financial path, and helps them start their financial lives on the right foot.
